Special Call for Papers
Deadline: April 30th 2003
TAMARA Journal of Critical Postmodern Organization Science has a call for papers on "Empire and Iraq War." This issue will feature an interview with Michael Hardt, co-author of the book, Empire, done by myself and philosopher Douglas Kellner (UCLA). We also have a piece in review that we are releasing about the health effects of Depleted Uranium weaponry; it is the first major piece to critique and contradict the four major official Du studies.
In relation to the special issue Nic and George (our Forum editors for Tamara JOurnal) would like to issue a call for reviews of media coverage of the war, specifically calling for submissions from multiple countries across the world. we would not wish to be overly prescriptive of what we might expect, but would suggest some themes, such as (first thoughts):- - the hyperreality of conflict - media coverage and political hegemony - mission and omission: narrative and antenarrative of war and peace are you happy for us to move forward with this? - cheers, George and Nic

Our main web site www.TamaraJournal.com went off line the very minute the Iraq War began. We were told by the ZIANET provider 505-522-1234 (Ken) that it is a simple matter of a disk crash in the array of desk. Yet the other web sites are back up. It is the longest replacement of a disk drive in the history of Zianet (to my knowledge). We have no way to verify if this is or is not part of a Dirty Tricks campaign.
Tamara Journal put up a temporary web site at http://horsesenseatwork.com/tamara/
Our other web site, www.PeaceAware.com also went off line the minute the Iraq War began. I called upon the ACLU and got it back on line the morning after war began for exactly one hour, and got a temp site running at ZIANET provider. The two sites went off lien after that hour and stayed off the first 24 hours. They are now back on line, but my passwords to upload and change web pages continue to be changed, so I can not make changes. A temp update site is at

Again, I can not prove that this is Dirty Tricks. But, I can tell you that Tamara Journal will be putting out it special issue on "Empire and Iraq War."
Deadline for the special issue is April 30th. Send papers and inquiries to Tamara@nmsu.edu
If you have a concept for another special issue related to this war and the crisis of civil liberties posed by the U.S.A. Patriot act please contact us.
